5kV Diagnostic Insulation Tester
Diagnostic insulation testing up to 5 kV, built for outdoor switchyards.
The 5K PI is a microprocessor-based diagnostic insulation tester for transformers, cables, bushings, insulators, switchgear, surge arresters and rotating machines. Designed and developed at Motwane’s R&D laboratory, it is light, compact and made for field use, including 220 kV, 400 kV and 765 kV switchyards (6 mA model).

Six diagnostic modes
IR, PI, DAR, DD, SV and BDV, with three programmable timers.
Noise immunity
Interference rejection up to 4 mA (3 mA and 5 mA models) or 8 mA (6 mA model).
Field-ready power
Mains and battery operation, about 4 kg, with self-replaceable battery on 3 mA and 6 mA models.
Data and connectivity
Stores 1,000 results; RS-232, USB and Bluetooth for PC remote operation.
Safe by design
Automatic discharge of capacitive loads at the end of each test.
