Dynamic Contact Resistance Meter
DCRM signature of breaker contacts, recorded at 100 A DC during a C-O operation.
MDCRM measures the dynamic contact resistance and plots it against time as a DCRM signature, helping to monitor the condition of the contacts without opening the interrupter. A 100 A DC test current is injected into the contact and its resistance is measured while the breaker performs a C-O operation. It is used essentially for MV and EHV circuit breakers with insertion-type contacts, and connects to an existing MCBOA test system.

Key features
100 A DC current injection
Battery-powered injection with an inbuilt charger: an independent, isolated 100 A DC source for a single interrupter.
Four-wire DCRM recording
DCRM signature recorded by the four-wire method for high accuracy and repeatability, up to 8000 µΩ full scale.
Quick C-O performance check
Time resolution in microseconds, with a selectable delay between multiple operations.
EHV-ready test leads
15 m test lead set for EHV breakers and GIS, with quick-fit connectors.
Robust, MCBOA-compatible
Robust carrying case that connects to an existing MCBOA series circuit breaker test system.
Analysis software
Programmable test plans, cursor-based on-screen calculations and automatic test-data folders; upgrades earlier MCBOA software to analyse DCRM signatures.
